Schedule your Interior Design Meeting
When faced with an “unknown”, that first step to get the ball rolling seems to be the hardest part. That’s why I only charge a nominal interior design “trip fee” at our first meeting. Above all it’s essential that, as in ANY good relationship, we find common ground through honesty, communication and connection. Once hired, the “trip fee” will be credited to contracted services, which essentially makes our first meeting FREE!
So, let’s meet!
During that first meeting, we will know whether or not we should work together. If not; no harm, no foul … and I will wish you absolute success in your endeavor! If we move forward together, here’s a general “outline” of what to expect…
Our Initial Meeting
At our initial design meeting, we will first establish the size and scope of your project. Some folks want to turn the project entirely over to me, and others have a clear vision of what they want and are involved every step of the way. Wherever you are on this spectrum, it’s just right!
In other words, the size of your project and how involved you’d like to be will influence the number of hours required for completion.
After the consultation you’ll receive a custom proposal from me that includes a recap, design inspiration, next steps and a suggested number of hours for your project. If you decide to move forward, you will purchase hours from me, and we will move into the planning phase.
Project Phase 1:
Planning
I will measure and inspect the project area, discuss color options, review furnishings that you already own and want incorporated into your new design, and discuss design layout options. This phase is usually completed in a couple of meetings.
Project Phase 2:
Selection
I will present finishing materials for final selection and purchase. If you are purchasing new furnishings, this usually includes a joint shopping trip to some of the area retailers. Likewise, if purchasing material products such as flooring, kitchen or bath fixtures, a visit to my wholesale showrooms would be in order.
Project Phase 3:
Final Installation
Sit back and relax while I coordinate your existing elements with your new selections in your newly designed space!
