Sunroom Design
Mary has a gorgeous sunroom space and wanted to update her furnishings. A large sectional was the priority due to a large family and lots of entertaining! So we needed pieces that were not only comfortable, but would stand the test of time. For the sectional, we chose a heirloom quality manufacturer who continues to make furniture in the way it was built 200 years ago. Given the company’s history of building sustainable and lasting products, this sectional will need to be reupholstered long before the frame wears out!
This project began in the middle of Covid-19, so I’m sure you remember the supply chain mess. Custom upholstered furniture generally takes anywhere between 6-24 weeks (depending on the manufacturer) for delivery. I strive to deliver beyond my client’s expectations, but Covid set the new pace, and we all struggled along with its new rules. I can’t begin to tell you how blessed I am to have a client as patient and as understanding as Mary. Because we ended up waiting almost 15 months for all of the new design pieces to dribble in.
All in all, though, it was worth the wait. What do you think?
